My daughter Sam Meece-Potowski started a GoFundMe to study in Tokyo, Japan for 4 weeks this summer! Feel free to head straight over to that page to read her statement and other details. But keep reading here if first you want to know about awesome swag.

Since some folks seem to dig my assemblages and photos, I thought I would offer some as thank you gifts.

$100 = one high quality color 8.5x11 print of any of my photos OR a small-ish assemblage:

$200 = 2 photos OR a medium-ish assemblage:

$300 or more = I promise NOT to send you anything.

Or, some combo of photos and a large-ish assemblage. Just keep in mind that at this point you are kind of bringing it on yourself.

I am happy to zap you a photo of an assemblage in advance so that you have the option of saying “Can I spin the wheel again please?” Alternatively you can just roll the dice and say “Surprise me” and not see it until it’s on your kitchen counter.

THANK YOU SO, SO MUCH FOR HELPING SAM GET TO JAPAN!!

The GoFundMe link to donate is here. You can either tell me in the comments there what swag you fancy, or you can email me at
kimpotow@uic.edu. You can FB DM me too, or text me. Once when Nico was little, someone in a movie was using a fax machine and he asked if that’ s how people used to text.

Here we have a small corked glass bottle with a ceramic hand swimming in letter beads, an Xmas ornament with a few plastic limbs (I’ll be adding something colorful to that) and whatever that other thing is.

The egg is for scale, but I mean let me know if you want one. It’s hard boiled.

These are just examples. They may actually be available or not, kind of like sliced sourdough bread at Mariano’s on a Sunday night.

This could involve a vessel of some kind, possibly a religious icon, maybe something from my kitchen.

You can also request a general theme, like “frogs” or “80s Euro trash.”
